Sarah Ames

I am an Illustrator, Modeller and Character Design Artist from Manchester, England. Currently seeking full-time work after completing my degree in Animation BA(Hons) at The University of Salford.

My inspirations have come from everyone and everything I see, from films and TV to children's stories and toys. I also get inspiration using Pareidolia. I chose to specialise in illustration, modelling and character design because I love drawing and making characters and inanimate objects in my spare time.

In my art I find I prefer to use pencils, pens and my laptop with a drawing tablet. I also hand sew various fabrics into soft toys and enjoy using polymer clay for jewellery and accessory making. I have good experience with software such as; Photoshop, Maya, 3DS MAX, Stop Motion Pro, Flash, Toon Boom and Illustrator. When I am not drawing characters I am creating different types of interesting toys and cosplay outfits, from either existing works or my own designs. I also like trying new hobbies and learning new ways to accomplish them to interpret them into my own projects.
